Kurzweil's Country Meats

What a great lunch the ribs were meaty and tender and my pork tenderloin was crispy and delicious! Fast friendly excellent customer service! What an excellent family ran operation! Before we left I stocked up on beef jerkey, breakfast sausage, chorizo sausage, beef hot dogs and grabbed a jar of jalapeño strawberry jam! When I have more freezer space I'll be back for some smoked pork chops and steaks. Thank you!

Say I didn't spend $50 on meat snacks from for my own birthday as my gift to myself! This place is amazing and is such a local treasure. The cheddar and Hawaiian snack sticks are exceptional. Convinced, even as a meat enthusiast, the Hawaiian snack sticks are the best tasting snack I've ever had. It's such a creative and brilliant idea. I've had some encounters with the Kurzweil family and they are the definition of 'salt of the earth' people.

The Burnt Ends Special had great flavor and was very plentiful. The burnt ends had just the right amount of smoke and was not dried out. The beans were very tasty with some smoked meat mixed in which gave them a good sweet smoky flavor. The tater tots were just the way I ordered them which was extra crispy. If you want to add bbq sauce, the choices are regular (sweet and smoky) or spicy (sweet spicy and smoky). I did not need to add sauce as the Burnt ends had plenty. Overall the meal was very good and enjoyable!

We haven’t had your meat for a year, and there was a bundle of variety of meat sent to us from a regular customer for Christmas last year. Her name was Robyn Burger, and we lost her on December 6th, last year, she was our daughter. She was Lt. Robyn Burger of Cass County Sheriff’s Office. We have ate in your place several times when we would go down and visit. We live in Elkhart , IA. So in memory of her we would highly recommend your place to anyone. This is a shot in the dark place to eat. We had some business to attend to at the MillWalk mall and decided to try this restaurant. Unexpecting an un-formal entryway and food ordering process. But, the food was plentiful and tasty. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and fries along with the pork tenderloin with onion rings. We chose the fried pork bites as an appetizer (I suggest everyone try these). Be sure to come with an appetite or prepare to bring home some leftovers for later.

Wanted to dine in but they had booked a bus tour in. Had to take the food to go. I will say I never like to take the food to go. Anything fried is never as good when it travels in a closed container absorbing the moisture... Burnt ends are not burnt but are chunks of brisket. Didn't have any bark showing that it was smoked although the meat was tender and juicy. Service was lacking. I didn't feel like I was appreciated. Almost rude.. not, oh I'm so sorry but we are full today but would you like something to go. 10% off for your inconvenience.

Great place to go for lunch if you like Meat! Everyone I was with liked what they ordered. The Barnyard Scuffle and the Reuben are great! Good sized portions. The tater tots are also good, try them loaded. Fries are ok. There was plenty of room in the dining area for our group.

I love trying new things here. I've never been disappointed by the flavors, quality and service. Stopped in for the Hamburger. It's very delicious! Ended up buying 3 packages of sausages. Caramelized pear and gorgonzola, Applewurst, and smoked mozzarella.
